Getting started

How do I install ShelfRestock?
From the Shopify App Store — one click, approve the scopes, and the setup wizard runs you through import, suppliers and lead times in about 10 minutes.
How does the 14-day trial work?
Pick Starter or Growth when you’re ready; the first 14 days are free and you can cancel anytime inside the app.
What Shopify plan do I need?
Any plan that supports third-party apps — Basic and up. No POS or Online Store requirement.

Billing

How do I upgrade or downgrade?
Plan & billing → Choose plan. Changes are prorated on your next Shopify invoice.
Where do I see my bill?
On your regular Shopify invoice — all app charges are handled by Shopify, never a separate card.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
It stays available for 30 days, and you can export everything to CSV before or after cancelling.

Migration

What can I still export from Stocky?
Purchase order reports, the SKU report with Average Cost, and stocktakes/adjustments. Supplier contacts and payment terms were never exportable — see the export checklist.
How does the converter work?
Drop your CSVs into the free converter; it maps the columns, flags anything uncertain, and gives you clean import-ready files. It runs entirely in your browser.
Why are costs dated instead of averaged?
An average overwrites history every time you update it. Dated layers keep what each unit actually cost on the day it arrived — so margins stay honest.

Costs & margin

How do cost layers work?
Every receipt creates a dated cost layer with its own unit cost (including landed costs). Weighted average is calculated from the layers — not typed over.
How do late invoices get handled?
Adjust the layer and the app appends an audited correction — past orders after that date update; earlier ones don’t move. Nothing is silently rewritten.
How is order margin calculated?
Revenue (net of refunds) − COGS using the cost layer as of the order date − payment fees − shipping/packaging. Lines without a cost are marked PARTIAL instead of guessing.

Purchasing & receiving

How do I create and send a PO?
From the reorder list, or automatically as drafts for review. Download the PDF and send it — POs are never emailed or sent automatically without you.
What happens on a partial delivery?
Receive what arrived; the difference stays open on the PO and is called out in the reconciliation view.
Does receiving write back to Shopify?
Yes — stock levels update in Shopify immediately, and the cost layer lands with the delivery date.

Multi-location

How do I read transfer suggestions?
Each row shows: which location is overstocked, which is short, the suggested quantity, and the days of cover after moving. One click creates a draft transfer in Shopify.
How many locations are supported?
All locations connected to your Shopify store (Growth plan).

Data & privacy

Where is my data stored?
Your records live with the app (hosted on our infrastructure); product data is synced from your Shopify admin. We never read or store customer PII.
What data does the AI use?
Only product-level figures already shown on screen (for example sales counts and stock levels), only when you opt in. Never customer data, never for training.
How do I export or delete my data?
Exports: CSV from every table. Deletion: email support or uninstall — shop data is removed within 30 days (see the Privacy Policy).
