How to export your Stocky data before the read-only window closes

Shopify shut Stocky down on August 31, 2026. Export access runs “at least 90 days” after that — with no exact end date announced. Here’s exactly what to export, what’s already gone, and how to rebuild it.

The converter runs entirely in your browser — your files never leave your device. Prefer paper? Download the 2-page checklist (PDF).

Export these four things now

All of them come out of Stocky’s own Reports screens as CSV files.

1 · Purchase order report

Stocky → Reports → Purchase orders

(export button highlighted)

This is where your supplier names, historical unit costs and receiving dates still live — the backbone of your cost history.

2 · SKU report with Average Cost

Stocky → Reports → Products

(Average Cost column visible)

A fallback cost source for any product that’s missing a receipt.

3 · Stocktakes & adjustments

Stocky → Stocktakes / Reports

Screenshot · Stocktake history

Useful if you want to reconstruct counts and starting quantities later.

4 · Sales detail

Stocky → Reports → Sales

Keeps your reorder rhythm intact while the new app backfills 2 years of sales from Shopify.

What Stocky can’t export

Three things were never in the CSV files. Budget ~10 minutes to rebuild them.

What’s missingHow to rebuild it
Supplier contacts & payment termsFrom your own PO emails — or type them in once; the app remembers them per supplier.
Exact partial-receipt quantitiesCheck shipments against the reconciliation report; it lists anything that needs a manual touch.
Supplier notes & remindersWorth rebuilding: MOQ, lead times, “call before ordering” — they never survived the export either.
Pitfall: in the purchase order export, the Ordered column is a date, not a quantity. Don’t map it to quantity.

FAQ

When exactly does the export window close?
Shopify says read-only access lasts “at least 90 days” after the August 31 shutdown — that puts the cutoff around November 29, 2026. No exact end date has been announced, so export as soon as you can.
What if my export is missing fields?
Two categories were never exportable: supplier contacts/terms and exact partial-receipt quantities. The checklist above covers the rebuild; the converter also flags rows that need a manual touch.
Will I lose my cost history?
Only if you don’t export it. Once imported, every receipt keeps its own date and unit cost — later price changes never overwrite the past.
Is the converter safe to use?
It runs 100% in your browser. No uploads, no accounts, no logs — you can verify in DevTools that it makes no network requests.
Are you affiliated with Shopify or Stocky?
No. Stocky is a trademark of Shopify Inc. ShelfRestock is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify.
What does ShelfRestock cost?
Free up to 100 SKUs, including a 90-day dated cost history. Paid plans start at $16.66/month (annual $166) with a 14-day free trial.
